An administrator usually performs multifunctional job. They may do basic activities in most organizations/ companies, but their responsibilities depends on the size of organizations/companies.His/her tasks involve the following:
-Managing and coordinating with all managerial staff.
-Arranging and organizing meetings.
-Setting organization's managerial goals.
-Evaluating workers’ performance and cooperating with human resources manager to set the required training programs.
Administrator has extra responsibilities in consultant area such as:
- Providing consultant services in his/her job.
-Developing and updating firm's system with new techniques about managerial concepts.
- Cooperating with different departments.
Environment of work
-Administrator works usually under firm's head manager supervision.-Administrator works from 8 to 3 daily, and sometimes he/she has to extend working hours for attending urgent meetings.
-Administrator may work with a team.
-Administrator should have good knowledge in administrative sciences.
- Men and women are usually who practice this career.
- Practicing this work may require travel away from home for several days and especially to attend some events or meeting.
Professional life
Administrator can work alone or with a team in private/public sector, but his/her work may be more related to the private sector.- Good experience in this job may give him/her a good opportunity to be developed in this job, and may be able to provide a consultant service or move into other positions such as general manager.
-Average salaries at the beginning of this career is around 12000SP in private sector
-After having a good experience in this field, administrator may continue his/her academic study in Business Administration faculties which should increase his/her knowledge.

-Getting this position is open to all graduates of Economics Faculty (BA dept).-Students must study the following subjects: Business Administration, Operations Management, Human Resources Management, Total Quality Management, Logistic Management, Operation Research, Financial Institutions Management, Service Institutions Management, and Managerial Information Systems, Public Relations Management.
-Postgraduate studies may be preferred to administrators especially passing MBA or other master degrees.
Skills
Administrator should have general skills such as:-Good knowledge in managerial strategies and understanding their importance.
-Good knowledge in computer science.
-Good understanding of main requirements of other departments and try to solve recent managerial problems.
-Good ability to do feasibility studies if he/she works in small business.
Administrator should have personal skills as well for example:
- Flexibility and good ability in understanding new ideas.
-Good communication and negotiation skills.

-Ability to work within team.
-Ability to work under pressure.
-Good knowledge with job roles.
-Be detailed and accurate.
