Nature of work
Accounts Manager is responsible for thefollowing:- Participation in preparation of organization annual budget.
- He/she should be commitment to accounting policies of the company.
- Preparation and organization accounts according to accounting principles and rules and organization accounting system.
- Doing sudden inventory
- Preparation of periodic financial and accounting statements and balance sheetof organization according to accounting rules.
- Following-up company's tax affairs in suitable time.
- Monitoring and checking accounts debtors and creditors. Then he/she solves the major differences
- Making all accounting adjustments before preparing financial and accounting statements.
- Issuing the guidance which help to develop control systems and that to protect organization's assets
- Preparation cash reports according to cash policies and procedures.
- Coordinating and facilitating work of the internal controller and external auditor, andproviding information and details to them
- Supervision work of organization accountants and tellers.
- Auditing reports to ensure about their validity and accuracy

- Accounts manager works under general manager' supervision
- This profession requires official long work hours (with other departments)
- He/she may be required to work at the weekend.
- He/she may be required totravel to achieve the goals of this profession such as (preparation of accounts and accounts of the sections ...)
- This profession needs full-time work.

- Working within office that is close to head management

- Communication with accountants, costaccountants, inventory accountants, salary accountants and tellers.

- Accounts manager workswithin team in public or private sector.
- By the beginning of this career, accounts manager may work at accounting department as accountant, cost accountant or as salary accountant
- Initial per month Salary is 20000 S.P
- Practicing this career for many years may give a good opportunity to develop and work as financial manager or assistant manager
- He/she can obtain certificate of external auditor.
- He /she can create a private work office that providing tax and accounting services.

- There is no special legislation to exercise this profession in Syria.
- You can gain this profession through studying at the faculty of economic (Accounting or Business department), after gainedcertificate of secondary school.
- A student in the faculty of economic has to study various courses that related to accounting.
- He/she should have experience in accounting business.
- He/she should have experience and knowledgeinSyrian and International Accounting Standards
- He/she should have experience and knowledgeintax systems.
Skills
Accounts Manager should have general skills as following:- Good knowledge in job rules and conditions that are applied in the country
- Experience in implementing managerial science
- Strong mathematical abilities
- Decision-making skills.
- Experience in using computer
- An appropriate level of languages adopted by the organization.
Accounts Managershould have personal skills that helps him/her in achieving the work
- High capacities in using mechanism accounting programs (Bazaar, al-ameen, ... ).
- High skills in using computer programs such as MS. Office particularly Excel in accounting.
- High skill in financial plan and analysis and preparation ofaccounting statements and budgets.
- Good communication skills.

- Ability of analyzing and deducing conclusions.
