He/she works solitarily within the given powers in order to manage farm works from planning, managing, guiding and monitoring production process.He/she works towards increasing the efficiency and production requirements, prepares equipment schedules and quantities, studies conditions of purchases, prepares technical reports, manages to develop their skills and develops the preparation of general and vocational health and safety requirements. The tasks are:- Defining farm goals and divisions.
- Preparing production plans and crop rotation.

- Carrying out various agricultural operations at the right time and manner.
- Using production needs according to the production plan.
- Selecting crops of higher productivity.
- Making appropriate adjustments to the production plan in line with price changes.

- Farms managing engineer usually works about 8 hours a day but not at weekends. He/she sometimes needs to work overtime during peak marketing and agricultural processes that need long time.

- For getting this job, one has to study at Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Agricultural Economics after achieving a general scientific or agricultural vocational secondary education with good or very good grades, respectively.
- The students should take some foundation modules such as: economic of both plant and animal production, agro-policy, agro-finance, agro-extension, economic maths, designing and analysing experiments, farm management, planning and organising agricultural production, planning and evaluation of extension programmes, rural community, rural development, agricultural projects analysis and evaluation, agricultural prices, agricultural marketing, accounting of agricultural costs, in addition to supportive knowledge in foreign languages, computer and programming
- Preferably, an Agriculture Faculty graduate carries on postgraduate studies for M.Sc. and Ph.D. at the Department of Agricultural Economics
