Nature of work
He/she works independently to study the product characteristics and specifications, prepare bid specification, sampling and test samples according to the agricultural products quality control standards, oversee the implementation and marketing tests. He/she prepares technical reports, manages and develops their skills, and provides requirements of occupational safety and health. The tasks include:- Studying manufacturing process characteristics and steps, production stages, and product specifications.
- Preparing testing samples tools and means.
- Identifying sampling points in different production stages, and determining selected samples quantities, preparation, and weights.
- Testing samples according to product nature.
- Comparing test results with standard criteria, and determining samples deviation to identify non-conforming products.
- Testing the new products quality pre-marketing.
- Following-up, and developing quality system and standards.
- Preparing technical reports.
- Developing the working methods by using modern techniques.
- Evaluating the performance to identify their training needs, and train them to improve their skills.
- Providing occupational safety and health requirements.

- He/she should work in coordinating with quality station to do practical and academic researches that are related to agricultural production to understand and follow up the technologies that improve productivity and reduce costs while preserving the environment.
- Practical and academic modern theory experience can be obtained by courses training, seminars, and various activities
- He/she sometimes requires traveling abroad for training.

- For getting this job, the person has to study at agriculture faculty, Department of Essential sciences, or Department of Food Sciences, or Department of Agricultural Economy.
- The students during that should get some related courses such as: Plants taxonomy, agricultural pests, plants and animals species, in addition to food industry, farms management, agricultural products planning, extension programs evaluation, analysis agricultural projects and agricultural prices, agricultural marketing, and various agricultural courses. In addition to his foreign languages, computer programming, engineering quality knowledge
- Preferably, Agriculture Faculty graduated students pursue their graduated program studies in the Department of Food Sciences, or Department of Agricultural Economy to get their master's and Ph.D. degrees.
