- He/ She tests , processes the water then treats the resulting water for re-use or put into bodies of water. He/ She also involves in preparation reports.
- The tasks assigned to him/ her as follows:
- conduct chemical and bacteriological analysis to detect water quality.
- identify water pollution.
- identify industrial, commercial and agriculture water needs.
- estimate the size of the loss of water resources.
- In the administrative field:
- participate in preparation the conditions of water projects.
- prepare the reports of treatment plant.
- provide the means of occupational safety and health.
- In the field of education:
- work in laboratories in technological institutes and colleges of civil engineering and architecture.
Environment of work
He/ She works at a rate of 8 hours per day. He /She may need to work overtime to finish the project. He/ She needs a helmet, rubber boot. He / She use special tools to complete his/her work. Also, he/she can work in his/her own establishment. He/ She should commit to the international standards of water projects. He/ She coordinates with the supervising engineer and team work to propose appropriate solutions to improve the specifications and work to ensure the quality. Professional life
Health and Treatment Plants Engineering Assistant can practice his/her work alone or within a team both in private and public sector. His/ Her monthly salary at the beginning of his/her work in the public sector is about 17,000 S.P.His/ Her career path develops when gaining practical experience. He /She promotes to the largest departments in large water plant projects which include planning tasks .
He/ She can travel to make make some measurements to determine the abundance of water source r to take water samples for analysis. Since most health and water engineering projects are far from urban centers, the work in general requires travel daily. Sometimes he/ she needs to live in the headquarters of the residential units belonging to these institutions.
Getting the job
To enter this profession, he/she should have an institutional degree. He / She should have a good knowledge in some subjects ( Hydraulic science- microbiology- hydrology-water supply-treatment plant processing). Skills
