The career of architect, project executor is a profession in the engineering sector.In the field of Engineering Projects:
- The executive studies engineer prepares the executive plans and audits them. That is to transfer the architectural plans prepared by architect into an executive ones to be handled later to the construction engineer.
- The executive studies include preparation of all details necessary in the plans, sections, elevations and landscape. That is to study all levels, heights, openings, dimensions, selection of constructing materials and their specifications and the constructing style used to support the environmental sustainable solutions with their cultural content related to the local identity in the context with architectural design.
- The Architect, project executor supervises the execution of works on construction site.In the field of consulting and technical services:
- Following up and developing quality systems and criteria and preparing consulting and technical reports.
- Developing work procedures using modern techniques.
- Evaluating employees and defining their need for training and extra skills.Providing the tools for occupational safety.
Environment of work
- The engineer works at office to prepare all executive studies as well on construction sites.
- The engineer works for an average of 8 hours a day all week except weekends and holidays. In some cases, the engineer may be required to work overtime especially during executing the projects.
- The engineer should have basic knowledge in other engineering professions and able to communicate with other experts.
Professional life
- Executive studies engineer can perform the tasks individually or within a team in a private or public sector in one of the general establishment connected to construction and building erection such as municipality, real estate office, consulting and study companies
- The engineer usually works within a team, and he/she may work individually when preparing the executive studies and design technical and consulting reports.
- Earning more experience will allow the engineer for promotion at work and give him/her the chance to offer consulting services.
- At the beginning of employment the minimum salary is about 20000 Syrian pounds (at public work).
- After proceeding to post-graduate studies or when having enough experience,the engineer can teach at faculties and institutes of architecture.
- The work may require travelling especially during the execution of projects.

Getting the job
This profession can acquired by:- Getting a bachelor degree in Architectural Engineering.
- Registration at the Engineering Order.
- It is preferable for those who wish to get this profession to have higher degrees such as MSC or PhD in construction and execution sciences.
